Ending October le....

ahsun: =) And what have i finished??? i feel that procrastination is really having a big effect on my life.....keep on delaying my urgent tasks to be done....urgent means to do it now...and NOW not browsing facebook or checking other people's profile all that....me and another fren of mine name Chriz is always procrastinating on our urgent stuffs....so i urged all of u out there to finish the urgent and impt things first....only then when holiday comes...we can truly enjoy it and not worrying about the exam results....JIAYOU ba all....

Last sat went to have steamboat dinner over @ mapo doufu restaurant @ upper thomson road there....have been there for quite a number of times....liked the ambience and also the food there....staff service was also v good...higly recommended for others to go....haha....denard $23 per pax plus 1 drink lor....the famous fried bun for the crab de v nice....also the mini dumpling or hand made "jiao" is also v nice....everytime i go everytime will make different chilli sauce as we have to make it ourselves....haha...hopefully can go there soon after exams....HA!

Past few days were busy rushing my netbeans project....finally finished it le....left some testing here and there....hopefully all will be ok....haha.....now got two finaly presentation.....hope all will be smooth and steady....also one final paper to submit....
Today was in bus saw this family of four, 2 small girl which one is a small cute baby and their parents in bus service 965....was on my way to woodlands to study when they were sitting near the door of the bus....den there's this lady about to alight from the bus gently pinched the baby as she can't resist the urge as the baby is really cute....who knows the

Father shouted @ her :"Eh who say u can pinch other people's baby"....
the lady replied : "She's v cute ma...."
the father replied : "Cute also none of your business....."
**Then the lady alighted from the bus scolding why the father scolded her....

I was like....ok....she merely pinched yr daugther but do u need to get so worked up??? Are parents nowadays so protective of their children??? i wonder....so nowadays the kids are overpampered isn't??? That's why generation to generation is getting from bad to worse....is there a necessary to be so defensive of a small gesture from a stranger..???
Then comes the MacDonald Incident....me and chriZ was @ wdls Civic Centre having our lunch which i ordered first and chriz started to take out his notes for chemistry to read as he have a test tmr....so i eat....he read....nothing wrong right....den the manager came over to us....

Manager A: Hey u know u are not supposed to read here on holiday?? We already pasted the notice outside....please keep all your reading/studying materials...
Bs: Ok i'm eating he's reading....we will leave once i eat finish is that alright?
Manager A: No no....i will tell that to other customers as well...please keep your study materials as we're running a business.....

Analysis: Ok....so people who read down there are not giving u a business to run isn't??? Or we ordered too few food items to make up for the losses??? AND i'm eating my fren can't even read something he needs to read....it's like....WTF.....can be flexible a bit or not....

This incident emphasis my strong will to open a study cafe catered for students and i find one of the idea v interesting....i've always wondered....why students like to head down to macDonalds.....Starbucks....all those fast food restaurant to study....me and chriz come to a conclusion...."WHO ASK YOU TO DESIGN YOUR RESTAURANT TO BE SO CONDUSIVE FOR STUDYING"....haha....so next time i can take ideas from their design layout for reference to my study cafe business.....

Key ideas for the biz IDEA :

1. Need Ample Lighting....Impt....
2. Need food and drinks.....
3. Need power plug
4. Place must be easily accessible....or somewhere near bus stop or mrt station
5. Air con must be there
6. Wireless to complement the Power Plug
7. Good furniture like chairs and tables...
8. Memberships for users??? possible....
9. Good atmosphere....v impt as atmosphere makes a student feels good to study there...like mac or starbucks...
10. Last but not least...i need funding....so WHO's IN with me???? hahaha

Oct coming to an End....Exams coming in 4 weeks time

ahsun: =) Woo....everything is so fast paced now....have to jiayou le.....
Recent months i developed a sort of like habit....to collect $1 coins....so everyday before i go home...i need to have some $1 coins from changes or things which i bought.....i always feel the need to bring $1 coins back home....if i dun...i will feel uneasy.....once i've got the $1....i will use it to feed my bear bear.....haha....my Coin Bear.....soon it'll be fully filled....and i did a count for it before.....once filled, the bear bear will contain $500....hahaha....my wish after the bear is complete....is to use the $500 to buy a mountain bike....ever since my aunty bike broke down.....i wished to buy a new mountain bike....maybe no need v high end de....can ride can le....haha.....hopefully it'll come true before x'mas ( well i think it will surely come true ba) wahahha.....
So many readings to read, so many lecture notes to cover, lab assignments to do ( only 1 per week though) and also projects deadline....presentation.....final paper....after tat....i gonna go sign up for guitar classes....driving lessons....my top 2 priority....lolx.....Today saw the slimming programme got this couple they went to learn Hip-Hop....interested to learn as well man.....dunno how will i look with all those cool stances and moves....lolx......stay tuned~

hmmm....even busier week....

ahsun: =) oh yeah....finally have time to blog le....just finish two readings today....so happy finally i got things done....project assignment halfway there....left 8 days to due le.....still got another part to do....hope to push myself and finish by this week so next week can jus do testing and fine tuning.....thurs oral presentation coming up.....though a short 3 mins one....also quite nervous la....dun like to present myself in front of crowd or audience....feel that i lack confidence....but i can actually heck it and jus give a good presentation to impress them....just a matter i chose or not to....haha

Just back from a night run just now.....it's been long since i went for a run....felt so good....as usual bought a cup noodle home for dinner....not alot of food left for dinner also on the dining table....nvm also guess it le...haha.....Hopefully tmr project meeting for the powerpoint slides due this friday can settle finish den we can relax and concentrate on the next friday submission......after end of this month....i will become butterfly i think....haha....after that is just one more last paper to submit....and den followed by 3 exams....lolx....have to start my revision liaoz....so from now till end nov will be super busy.... ( if i'm too free i will make myself busy as well ) so as to make for the final dash before exams comes....dun wanna regret my this semester like the prev two le....gotta bring up my CAP....arbo cham liaoz lor.....take care all.....good amount of traffic in my blog though....thanks for the support ah.... :)

Getting Busier ya....

What a week....so many things happened....some updates on my life ba.....

Firstly, the place which i played soccer and since sec sch days....is finally demolished le....after announcing to demolish it last year... haiz...didn't know it'll end so fast....we've already developed a feeling for the basketball court le.....the Blk 638 court was like a natural for us to think of when it comes to soccer....now it's gone....sense of belonging starts to drift away from me....and i was thinking didn't Singapore encourage people to go out and have fun, not always cope themselves up in the house??? Now they're doing this....i'm feel so sad....it's as if something precious was taken away from u by others....feel so helpless and lost man.....dunno when will we ever find another permanent place to play soccer again le....haizz....
Secondly, has been busy with project and rushing it day and night....really gotta re-organise my time evenly for other modules as well le....though only total got 3 modules to really take care of....also alot of things to read, labs to do....tutorials to submit....argh.... gotta really use some time management and planning le lor....no more day no action liaoz....i will be digging my own grave if i keep on doing that....
Thirdly, i found the Lu Guang Zhong album to be v nice....haha...all starts from the breakfast song....listen in the morning....can really start the day with a happy feeling....refreshed mind ba....highly recommended....if u wan more...can search in imeem.com for lu guang zhong....haha....nice.....
Lastly, just want to talk about a frenz....recently have a fren keep talking about last time he always went out with another grp of frenz to gossip about some common fren....den this fren like to say things opposite on different occassion.....do u guys have this kind of fren?? Actually what's in the mind of this fren of mine lei??? Let's name him K.....K likes to say A in front of GRp A frenz and say B in front of grp B frenz....and i was even labelled as "not so close " de frenz by him....i'm ok with it la...but i actually heard that he's the so-called "GUI" in our grp of frenz....haha....but anyway.....i guess he doesnt knows what he wants thus he's always doing things without using his brains(Quoted by someone...u know who u are...haha) and maybe he will like to try on sudoku puzzle everyday...it can improve the brain power and also exercise the brain lor....if brain aren't used for too long will brain dead de....proven by scientist de....so everyone....facebook or anywhere got sudoku....try one everyday ok...haha....tat's all i wanna say.....and also....

Busy busy.....

ahsun: Busy Week ah....even weekend also busy.....my eyes are dying due to dryness le....reading so many things....so many assignments and tasks to be done....but don't forget to balance it with play so as to strike a balance.....

Has been rushing projects lately which are due end of this month, not forgetting the ever destesting OS module i'm taking currently....got super low marks for the MCQ exam lor....haiz....i need to think positively....so that i can improve my grades....arbo it'll kept spiralling downwards....i wouldn't be able to make it for the final exam le....Gambate!
Time after mid term tends to past super fast, gotta grab hold of my time well, reject some of the outings as well to focus on my studies first....at least for this month lor....sianzZZZZz....

Sat: Went to HongKong Cafe @ Thomson road with my sis,bro,their partners and also zhuzhu,ming jie and ah hou lor....haha...got this Peanut Toast Super nice de lor....love it....i guess i have loved peanut stuff ever since i was a kid....wahahhaa....den i ordered this fried rice with hotdog and ham....not bad....except for the hotdog a bit....erm.....not nice...haha....also got an Ribena Lemon tea...haha...sour and sweet...Initially have a fren's gathering @ hougang de...but due to time constraints....gave it a miss lor....felt so appologetic for it as i've ALWAYS flew their aeroplane....hmmm....guess they must have been v pissed off by me lar.....paiseh man....Went home in Guo Zhong's car after the dinner den chew went to his gf hse...

Has been thinking of cars, license and booking practicals....though i'm gonna take the advance theory next thurs....hopefully i can book practical fast and den 1 SHOT pass the TP lo....dun wanna waste too much time on it.... haha... *praying...

ahsun: Wow....just back from soccer @ jalan baha with ck n co....today was quite a tired session even though i had fully rested from last night....guess i really need to work harder..still think i can work a little bit harder @ the assignment...the lab....the lecture readings....i need to work a little harder....need more motivation....guess i'll have to try the method yan taught me....think in $$$ terms...haha....actually it's quite a scary and useful term ba....cos....we're not v rich.....the money for uni education really can last us for a long time if we nv study....so gotta succeed no matter wat....
Then come to the issue on age....i'm 23 this year....becos today got a new guy playing soccer with us...also one of the air force regular....and he's 29!!! woo...then i was telling mun sang.... "eh...6 more yrs we'll be like him.." it's really a scary thing though...mun sang asked me a question which i dunno how to answer him also.... " where will u be in 6 yrs time..." wow.... i was stunned...dunno wat to reply....thinking back...sec sch days the time was like no worry of not enough time....when it comes to age 20.....3 yrs just past me like this.....people really aged that fast.....i'm scared....maybe partly due to insufficient plan for my life....what i want....what kinda jobs i want....though i already thought of what cars to buy....what house to live in...but.....seriously the path in front is still unclear....how??? how ?? how????
Haiz...life is really fragile...and time passes v fast...we need to fully make use of time to utilize what we can do while we're young.....some people like to travel...while others are more outgoing....sporty....or likes to go out in grps with frenz...me??? not alot of frenz to go out with.....always panicking about my assignment and labs how to do.....if anything must change....I MUST CHANGE first...i really gotta do something about this le....i dun wanna stay in the same spot....my own safe spot...i wanna go out....out of my comfort zone...try something which i think i'll never do ( of cos not illegal though )....
Everyone need to learn new things at different stage of their life....let today mark the new stage of my life.....to be more enthusiatic on learning new knowledge....new stuffs.....and explore new horizons.....with this....first thing i wanna learn is....>DRIVING......i hope to be able to drive during chinese new year lor....hahaha.....JIAYOU!!! pls jiayou for me ok...thanks....

Breast cancer is now top cancer—killer in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Breast cancer has overtaken lung and colorectal cancers as the top cancer—killer in Singapore.

So this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month hopes to encourage more women to go for screening.

Regular exercise and a healthy diet can help prevent breast cancer. But Singapore’s increasingly affluent and sedentary lifestyle, plus more screening, has resulted in a 25 per cent increase in breast cancer cases over the past 10 years.

Previously, women died from breast cancer without being aware they had it.
Some 1,300 women are diagnosed with the disease every year, and 313 women die from breast cancer every year. Early detection saves lives, but only 41 per cent of women go for screening.
"Please get a mammogram. It’s subsidised, it’s available, it’s accessible," urged Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports.
"I know it’s not the most comfortable thing in life, but it makes a difference and it can save mums, it can save wives, it can save our sisters," he added.

Walks, talks and special offers for screening at hospitals are available during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Doctors recommend women aged between 40 and 49 to go for a mammogram once a year, and for women aged 50 to 69 to go for screening once every two years. This is the only way to bring down the death rate.

Subsidised mammograms are available throughout the year at all 15 polyclinics and on the mammogram bus.

A subsidised mammogram through the BreastScreen Singapore scheme costs S$50 for Singapore citizens and S$75 for Permanent Residents. A mammogram in a private hospital costs about S$110—S$150.

The number of women dying from breast cancer has remained stable over recent years, but the disease has become the top cancer—killer because death rates from lung and colorectal cancer have declined.

One of Singapore’s grand old architectural dames is supporting the screening drive. The Arts House at Old Parliament is being lit up in pink over the next two weeks in support of breast cancer awareness and to remind women to go for mammograms.

So ladies...pls....take good care of health....dun let cancer gets to u.....may all be freed from sickness.....

5. Learn my guitar lessons @ chong pang ( every thurs )
6. Save alot of $$$ for travel next year ( taiwan next )
7. Focus my mind on the things i do, stop wandering about in my own world

Sports Week....

ahsun: This has been a tiring week.....most impt is soccer has been with me for all week long.....monday,wednesday and thursday are soccer nights for me....also tried out my new adidas shoe... it's a blue stripe with some grip on the outer and inner foot surface of the shoe with white color on it.....love the comfort and also the feel of it when i first wore it.....guess it'll go down as one of the great soccer shoe i have ever bought....

Tue: Was zhuzhu's sports day, skipped lectures to revise @ home....will upload some photos of zhuzhu sports day when i combine some of them....was quite fun though to see zhuzhu played hard and enjoy the event lor...

Wed: was hari raya...didn't did much ba....stayed @ home and accompained emily to buy the ds lite's microSD card plus the R4 to play downloaded games de....so not bad lar....found out ds lite full package selling for $299 over there.... quite worth it....considering to buy it for zhuzhu for his birthday next year.....hopefully can save enough over the holidays lor....

Thurs: Went sch for proposal lessons and also helped one of my camp mates jianghua the gay shit with his java assignment....didn't really did much also....just told him what i know....and explain some programming methods and codes for him....after tat we went marina square to buy birthday present for his friend......saw ZARA and dunno what MASSIMONO DUTTI clothes....so nice...i wanna buy....also the PETRO shoes....cool man...i want it lor....must start saving now liaoz.....haha....should really change my style of clothes....always feel that....clothes can make a guy feels good and smell good as well.....

Time ot start doing some transformation to my life....i realised....change....is the only constant thing in life....nothing can stay constant as u like.....unexpected things just happened under yr nose without u knowing it.....anyway....may all just cherished whatever u have....frenz....love....family.....it's a gift to u..... :)

MAMA Mia Movie Review....

ahsun: Woo.. MAMA MIA is great....i truly enjoyed the movie with yan and also almost felt like dancing in the cinema....highly recommended....here are my reviews and the photos...

Wasn't really expecting it to be so much fun and interesting to watch a movie especially with so much singing like a musical...Songs like dancing queen by ABBA really keeps people into the movie story and though it's funny, i must say the story was written quite good....sophie wedding with sky turns out to be someone's else....haha.....and the 3 guys whom sophie invited are really 3 great actors and i singled out the james bond actor; Pierce Brosnan for being the most handsome and cool of them all..... lots of singing and dancing....really a great movie....

Another thing to note is the setting of the movie....it's really nice....i found it's @ Greek Islands....wow....i guess if i ever saved enough for a holiday....a truly break away from singapore....this will be an ideal place....also for weddings....i think it's v romantic....haha....blue skies....clear seas.....ships....and lots of photos to take....haha...can't imagine i'm in there as well....lolx....
