3rd Week of STudIes....

Woo.....less than 10 days to chinese new year....can u all feel the festive mood coming to town??? haha...well at least i can't...maybe i should starting going to chinatown ah...chong pang....those markets or shopping centre with lots of new year decorations and also selling alot of "red" stuff : ang baos, dui lian, mickey mouse with auspicious wordings....haha...standard de la...just that the coming new year is year of the rat...that's why Mickey mouse all very popular ar....

This week just started tutorials and labs....hope i can cope...so far so good....just need to do somemore readings and also diligent a bit..go library loan books to readup on programming java and also try to cut down on watching tv ( i cant resists watching tv at home de ) so i must wait till dead at night only then with silent of my keyboard typing or the fan den i can study....total without distraction....i think that works for me...at least...haha...

Chinese New Year coming always implies some events like the following : buy new clothes, buy new year goodies, eat bak gua, drink F&N orange ( my dad says must drink this as it's called the chinese new year drink ...haha * quite true though), spring cleaning, pack room, new haircut, etc....alot of things to do lei....yet i think i did none....except for eating bak gua....haha...Ling Zhi Yuan one....lolx...

Chinese New Year's all about eating steamboat, getting red packet ( not very interested in getting.... transport fee > total $$ from ang bao :( ), gambling ( haha...my fav...entertainment with friends ) and also getting together with cousins ah...like joanne them...haha.....Expecting to have a great time...this year good lo...new year long...haha...hope can really enjoy before the real sch work piles up....till then....Happy Chinese New Year....Gong Xi Fa Cai....Below are some Auspicious words to use during chinese new year....take care for all... =)

Drinking Session @ Liquid Kitchen

Yes...DRINKING SESSION....you did not see wrong heading...i went drinking... ( though i can drink but i seldom or almost drink on few ocassions ) with my poly frenz....sounds like alot....only 4 of us....me,yan,shine,faizal...total 4 of us... initially i thought was kind of nice high class pub...but turn out to be a nice good cheap and near pub located @ thomson road.... ( need to take bus 167 or 855 ) alight upon seeing this apple strudel shop den walk towards shell station as the pub is near this shell station @ thomson road....

4 Of us met at yishun interchange and wanted to went before 9 to get the 20% discount on all drinks ( which shine empahsis one ALL ) and we did not do so due to the following factors :
1. i went back n change bermudas upon hearing that actually no need wear jeans ( i took the trouble to go back home change when i was waiting at bus stop)
2. Yan went late as her mum asked her to do some last min stuff.
3. We missed a bus after all of us were @ yishun interchange just that yan was waiting some stops away from yishun bus interchange.
4. we reached @ 9:10pm....wtf....

Ya den we reached there le....went in and browse thru the menu which the only female waiteress in liquid kitchen served us. Live soccer were screen as well nd there's this area for 5 pax and above to sit in ( look like those kinda of fortune telling table and sofa with decorations around them ) and looks much more comfortable.

We ordered this corona pack of 5 which comes with free fries...and also spicy calamari rings....which are real hot *ouch! We began toking about past events which happened ah...like ck things....and one of the famous stuff he said : " Remember whatever happened u,me,edwin,rina and lawrence will be the best of friends. " we went bursting with laughters....haha....tat ck ar...realy hopeless lar....so mushy stuff also can say.....den we also mention about the "yan era", "Li era" ( Lixin,liru and Lisa ) hahaha....that sounds so funny lor....all the things that have happened and happening now...haiz....also planned about what to bring for rina's engagement on 1 mar ( woohoo big event ). Also got some updates here n there la....like ryan got gf....den tok about next time go which do what....like tioman trip ( wish i got enough $$$ ) and also some personal exepriences....

After liquid kitchen we went back chong pang as we wanted more beer with lower $$$ .... 7-11 pops out of the mind....even bought some bee hoon and otah to go with the drinks....haha....we reside under block 705 i guess....den drink and talking about why millionaires have weird habits....den shine yan n faizal started toking about weird stuff their bosses does everyday and now....haha....welll maybe millionaire doesn't need to be dining good food....driving posh cars....or even living expensive houses ba....good life is considered enough le....but never ever stay contended ba....stay greedy and foolish...like what steve jobs said on the harvard university speech...do what u like la....haha... :P

Er Xin Party World KTV ( SAFRA Yishun )

Wow....after a long day at work in school.....thursday....my worse day every week....morning lecture till evening tutorial....not to mention busy econs lecture which the lecturer likes to breeze thru the slides and quote funny examples n case studies on application of the economics concepts....

i also have WPL registration to do at night as well... tiring tiring tiring....but....who cares....got $$$ earn....got degree to study....good enough le ar....there are even worse off people out there.....therefore....always remember to be content with what you have....at the same time aim to achieve more via different channels....more knowledge in school....more $$$ outside....more additional financial literacy for future investments and also life skills....how to cope with daily problems....like what they say....everyone has problems right....

Yesterday night was a lucky night....we did not need to work thru the night as the system went down for CAT test and we were released early...haha....lucky me....after which i sms yan to go for KTV which i know she has been craving since dunno when ( think last week ) but rina and gang no one is free to accompany her....therefore as the SUN...i jio her to KTV at usual hangout --> SAFRA YISHUN PARTY WORLD...Much complains coming up... :

1. Firstly there's the promotion for duno usual price but extra one hour given...we can't enjoy the benefit due to the time we went.... 930 pm reach there but party world closes @ 1pm....idiot lor...den bump into ck gf ( coincidence she's doing counter last night ) den she assigned this room 16 i guess to us..after we are in there for about half an hour....we thought of adjusting the temperature of the air con but response we got is main system air con cant be adjusted....idiot right....

2. Singing into the night...i found a "xiao xiao qiang" about last finger size big at the sofa....i immediately sweep it to the floor and "bang" goes my shoe...the xiao xiao qiang squash....er xin lor...i didn't know party world this dirty....i will give second thoughts on going there any more

3.Down with a flu....den yan keep complaining about her body ache from the kickboxing class on every wed makes us sing like amatuers....really sucks to the core....don't really feel like singing after 8 songs or so....so we rested for a while...admiring jay chou MTV while eating tibits n bubble tea...

4. Lastly comes the bill....$41 for 2 person ( due to same price for tibits and drinks ) but fewer person....so we have to foot the full costs more lor..sianz 1/2...den the stupid member discount shit is before the GST ( 7% ) and the service charge ( 10% )....which makes no cents/sense....scheming ktv and business way of doing it...hated it but the love for ktv can't beats paying more for a night of enjoyment with friends in the room full of inspirations and admiration...don't you think so??

WonderFul Night To Skate.....

Woo....Last weekend was tiring...working....working...studying....studying.... last week was first week of school....can really feel it....the workload level piling up....yeah....good to have this feeling to study again...and den working for WPL Night Registration @ redhill CES....quite fun la....just that hope will have more people registerin lor....den at least can make our presence felt there....if no sales....den is like " open for what" right...haha...

Anyway....sunday night initially wanna rollerblade de....but den that rina ah....say her skate don't have brake....she scared fall down n disfigured... ( that will be a quite bad fall ) so she rejected the idea of skating near her house ( beside polyclinic @ Basketball court ) den 930pm came a phone call... " Hello ahsun....wan to go rollerblade...rina called to said that she wants to skate liaoz" i was slping at that point of time....but feeling the adrenaline rush for skate....i agreed....haha...

So there we are skating at the basketball court....i love the place as it was big....and really alot of space to try and learn new tricks....edwin ( rina's bf ) even taught me how to T brake and also turn left or right much more faster using the crossover methods....haha....finally i get to improve on my skating skills....wasn't very proficient in skating due to less training and chance to rollerblading...hope every weekend can at least skate once lor...haha....soon the day will come when we go around yishun..sembawang..woodlands...and north zone...and den ECP..and singapore on our 8 wheels...but for now...just learn the basics first...it's impt in whatever we do....haha....

周杰伦世界巡回演唱会2008

Woo Hoo....Finally the Day is here...Jay chou concert 2008....the last time i went was 2005 if i'm not wrong....woo....that time the experience was good enough for me to buy tickets for this time's concert....anyway i bought the $140 one ( as the most expensive all snapped up due to server down ) but anyway i had a good fun night at indoor stadium.

ME,Yan and CK went together and the songs we were introduced are all those ktv hits and also album sold-out songs....nice songs and also visual effect jay got in his concert....first song already is huang jin jia main theme...den alot of breaks in between as he keeps changing clothes....so feel like he nv really sing alot of songs lor.....

There's even dances and also guitar segment......piano battle with Nan Quan MAMA Yu Hao.....nice lor..just to vie over a girl dunno what name....funny..den the girl looked like a aunty lor....kaoz.....but overall the concert is fun n exciting.....ending part den started to stand up as everyone in front all stand n block our view.....like what luo zhi xiang said : " yan chang hui jiu shi yao liu han ma, bu liu hai jiu bu jian kang lo "

There's also Shuang Jie Gun slow motion song and also a song from Nan Quan MAMA.....haha...very funny n cute....den jay chou also got his birthday song from the fans and also he even come down off the stage to shake hands with fans.....which goes to show he's really happy to be here lor...though he did complain no one open concert on their birthday except for his...den he love singapore becos there's no PAPARAZZI in Singapore.....haha....and also the warm weather here kept him sweating all night....

He also had a hot dance and also break dance a bit....damn cool....i think most cool one is the piano...and shuang jie gun la....DIAO man.....that's why yan kept telling me " eh u go learn piano lei.." even if i do so...i also not zhou jie lun ah....wake up la yan....hahaha

Really worth the money and entertainment value were there....but i see alot of Jay Chou items on sale....but at an high price for them....min. i think $15 lor....but i bought a figure of Jay for $15....broke liaoz....Yan even wanted to buy towel....but sold out already....terrible lor....all so expensive yet people are snapping them up like it's on SALE....OMG....Singaporeans are really a rich lot....haha....

Hope can get jay chou movie gala premiere tickets and watch with him or get ticket on first day of new year to watch kung fu slam dunk lor....haha...for now...let's dream first ba....haha....good night....

Jay CHou Coming TOday AfterNoon....

Woo....tickets bought 2 months ago...now finally....we can have the real jay chou here in singapore....i dunno how it'll turn out to be....but it'll surely be fun n nice de....to hear him sing live....what surprises will he bring again...no one knows....haha....but anyway..i'm going to the concert with ck n yan....hopefully it'll be a fun event....heehee

Late at night 150am....just finish my SMART notes writeups...tired.....today went for first econs lesson....wow...find the syllabus quite big....den the lecturer also choo choo train....tok very fast...next time must ring voice recorder liao lor....nene de.....but still manage to get hold of some points la....need more readings to understand the lectures....with no econs n financial background....i think the only way out is to put in more effort and also to read up more...to increase social awareness and what happens around us....these two modules are used widely just that i nv really took noticed about them...

Also starting to polish java knowledge in my brain....erase my C++ replace with JAVA...concepts the same......programming codes wise is different.....*most impt is the concept ( what the Dr Tan Says ) but i know la really impt is algorithms.....haha....but my coding sucks...need to read up more...code more....hope to catch up....finally can feel the tireness of 5 modules... ( Without ET1000 english language no MC module ) Hope all goes well....Good Night Everyone....Tired le....

N i still haven't slp....tmr's first day of school...haha....Lecture and Lab starting tmr...sianz....my CS1102 Data Structure Last sem drop half way now have to take....starting to regret....cos the workload is quite heavy actually....but....what to do ah....nv put in effort means have to put in more today....heehee~

Hmmm....well....have to put in more effort le....since i promise myself to go for it this semester....one sem wasted le....( not very good results )... this sem to make up for it...

WPL Registration for NTUC LHUB startin tmr night the 1st night for me...dunno how will it goes....hope all will be smooth and steady.... $$$ is on the table....haha...Grab it while stocks lasts....

Wahaha....why did i say that lei....becos ..... last month holiday...i was practically working everyday...so end jan n feb can guo da fei nian liaoz...haha...

Work in Lhub almost everyday when i could lor....den this coming month got WPL reg to do at night....haha...good hourly rate as well...tiring i know....but hope can earn more to replace those that i lost...and save more....this i promise myself...hope i can hit my monthly target all the way and cut down on entertainment fees and expenses....not splurging them on expensive stuff...control and determination plus discipline very impt

Basically everyday also go Tanjong Market eat....Nasi lemak....super nice lor....those who work tanjong pagar....u wouldn't wanna give it a miss....haha...today i queue for 10 mins at this stall named xiang xiang nasi lemak....heehee....at some corner de la ( for those who went there b4 ) .... den my turn the chicken wing just fried one....haha...greedy i went for two of it....heehee....delicious lor....currently thinking of it....haha...*drooling....

Den recently also quite a few problem case...poor zura..she kena ( anyway she's any on-probation staff at Ntuc Lhub ) scolding from customer though not her fault....damn thoise idiot programme executive....for not doing their job...haiz....dog eat dog world....what can u do...suck thumb n move on....take it as a lesson learnt ba...

after working for this month n last month earnings....hopefully i can repaid my labtop debt....haha...free!! left dad's CPF to clear....dunno how long will that take....but with determination... impossible is nothing..like what adidas said right...hehe...

Recently really wanna set my mind on cutting down weight..feel so fat...looking back at my poly days ( year 1 only ) and BMT army days plus SSC days ( Sea Soldier ), i was so slim....that was my peak period ba....but....human always create miracles...i believe and think that i can and will succeed if i pay more attention to my diet and more exercises ( stop lazing on the crouch le...)

Happy New Year 2008

Well...happy new year first of all....what a year 2007 have been. Well i'm outta of the army..den matriculate in NUS.....so many things take place in 2007. Though i cant say it's the best year of my life....but it sure is a impactful one on me....as i need to adapt to different environment as we progress to different stage of our lives.

To begin with the new year, we will start off with new year resolutions. People have been talking about new year resolutions since way back before i was born. Reflection on self development are also done at this period of time. Ask yourself this : "what have u achieve last year, what goals have u met and what did u not done and regretted it? " New year ma....should not dwell on the past, but if u dun learn from yr past experiences, when are u going to learn ar? right? and setting new goals as well....people need motivations to move forward and achieve many more things off their wish lists and To-Do lists. Writing them down or posting them on the blog is a good way to remind yrself, to keep track of all the things u have done and listed to do in the coming or current year. While tidying up my room, i found these paragraph very meaningful from a good friend of mine. She wrote this card to me somewhere a few years back. It goes :

All these words most of us have heard in somewhere ( TV, Movies, Drama Series, Websites, Newspaper etc... ) But have we really drill in into our head?? To hear and understand and to really do it are 2 different things. I hope all of us can really get what we want, do what we always wanted to do and dream what we want to dream. Because we only have one year 2008 to live once past, That's it!!!!
